Indian TV actor Shiv Thackeray has revealed that men are also harassed in the showbiz industry.
Shiv Thackeray, a contestant of the famous Indian reality show Bigg Boss 16, has revealed the incident of harassment that happened to him at the beginning of his career in the drama industry.
Shiv Thackeray told Indian media Hindustan Times during an interview that after coming to Mumbai, he found out that not only girls but also men are harassed in this industry.
He said without naming that a ma’am (woman) in the industry called me to give an audition at 11 pm.
Shiv Thackeray further said that I am not too young to understand what auditions are held at night, I told the lady that I cannot come at that time, I have other work.
Shiv Thackeray said that after hearing my answer, this lady said, “Don’t you want to work in this industry?” In this way you will not get work.
The actor, who has been a part of several reality shows, said that if you refuse the casting couch, powerful people discourage you, but I never worry about it.
