Washington: Former US President Donald Trump has been indicted. This is the first time in US history that any former president has been indicted.
A Manhattan grand jury in New York has indicted former President Donald Trump for paying adult film actress Stormy Daniels to cover up affairs during the 2016 election campaign, according to foreign media.
The decision to indict the former president was based on jury voting. After the verdict, the prosecutor’s office has demanded the arrest of former President Donald Trump. This is the first time any US president or former president has been indicted.
Donald Trump could be sentenced to a maximum of 4 years in prison or a fine in this case. The former president has rejected the allegations against him and said that the purpose of these allegations is to deprive him of participating in the upcoming presidential elections.
