2 Pakistani films 'Kamili' and 'Joyland' won international awards

Toronto: There is more good news for Pakistani cinema and film industry, Sarmad Khost’s film ‘Kamli’ and Saim Sadiq’s ‘Joyland’ along with Sajal Ali’s film ‘What’s I Got To Do With It’ have won international awards. .

Pakistani films and artists have won this award at the four-day Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival.

According to the announcement made by the festival jury, the film ‘Joyland’ won four awards including Best International Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Sound Design and Best Actor (Female).

Actress Sania Saeed of Sarmad Khost’s film ‘Kamli’ has won the best actress award for her impressive performance.

Sajal Ali was also not left behind in the rain of awards and Jemima Khan’s romantic comedy film ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ won the Jury Prize for Best Cast.

The Canadian Film Festival featured films from Canada, USA, UK, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Caribbean.
