Lahore: On behalf of Imran Khan, an application was filed in the Lahore High Court for the dismissal of all cases against him.
The petition has requested that Imran Khan be granted bail in all cases pending the final decision of the petition. The petition has been filed under Article 199 of the Constitution, with Central Secretary General Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Asad Umar as petitioner-chairman. With Imran Khan.
In the petition filed through the mediation of Barrister Salman Safdar and Barrister Sameer Khosa, the Federation of Pakistan, Election Commission, Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Caretaker Chief Minister and IG Punjab, Anti-Corruption Punjab, NAB, FIA and PEMRA have also been made parties.
Speaking on the occasion, PTI leader Asad Umar said that we have approached the Lahore High Court against retaliatory measures against Imran Khan to prevent him from participating in the election process in an orderly manner. He said that despite the threats to life, the issue of endangering Chairman Imran Khan has also been placed before the Supreme Court.
Asad Umar said that the details of the heinous violations of human rights have also been placed before the court in the form of an application. They have approached the court against the worst illegal crackdown against the leaders and workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf. Through a comprehensive application, all aspects have been placed before the honorable court. The many fake cases against the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf are completely contrary to the fundamental constitutional rights and should be quashed.
Asad Umar said that there is no legal justification for the worst crackdown against the leaders and workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf. The respected court can guarantee the protection of the basic rights of the citizens and remedy the heinous violations of human rights.
