The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has named his eldest son Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
According to the royal decree, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been nominated as the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates.
The presidential decree states that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid will also continue to perform duties as the vice president of the emirate.
According to the royal decree, Sheikh Huzah bin Zayed and Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed have been appointed as the Deputy Rulers of Abu Dhabi.

According to foreign media, the 41-year-old new crown prince Sheikh Khalid is already a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office.
