Lucky Marwat: 4 officials including DSP were martyred while 6 were injured in the attack of terrorists on police station Sadar and a police van.
According to Express News, terrorists attacked police station Sadar and a police van of Lakki Marwat district with modern and heavy weapons, as a result of which 4 officials including DSP were martyred and 6 were injured, while the terrorists were killed by police retaliatory fire. They managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.
According to police sources, 5 police officers Farooq Shah, Amanatullah, Asghar Ali, Gul Tiyaz and Arif were injured in the attack by terrorists on Sadar police station.
On receiving the information about the attack, DSP Lucky Iqbal Momand went to Sadar police station. On the way, the DSP’s armored vehicle was blown up by explosives and planted under a small bridge. As the bridge was destroyed, the land route from Thana Sadar to the city was also cut off.
As a result of the attack by the terrorists, DSP Lucky Iqbal Momand, Waqar, Ali Marjan and Karamatullah were martyred on all four occasions while succumbing to their injuries while the driver of armored vehicle Sardar Ali was injured. Police reached the spot and found 6 injured. Officials were sent to Lucky City Hospital for immediate medical assistance.
