Karachi: Rain has started in different areas of Quaid city which is likely to continue for the next few hours.
According to Express News, it started raining with thunder in different areas of Shahr Quaid, Saddar, Gulistan Johar, Gulshan, Scheme 33, Defence, Clifton, Malir and Airport.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will continue intermittently for the next few hours, during which there will be light rain and drizzle in the city. Thunderstorms and lightning continued in many areas, stronger than normal winds prevailed during the rain, which brought down the temperature and made the weather pleasant.
Light rain has made roads slippery so motorcyclists are advised to drive with caution while citizens are also advised to stay away from electronic devices.
According to the forecast of the Early Warning Center of the Meteorological Department, a new series of westerly winds is forming, as a result of which light rain and drizzle are expected in different parts of the city till morning.
