Lahore: In the lawyers’ convention held in the capital of Punjab, the resolution to hold timely elections in the country was approved.
According to Express News, in the text of the resolution presented in the Lawyers’ Convention, it is written that the Lawyers’ Convention condemns the postponement of the elections and demands that they be held in a timely manner.
The resolution states that the Election Commission has no authority to postpone the elections by exceeding the constitutional period. Apart from this, the resolution condemns the attack on the Supreme Court judges for political interests and expresses concern over the disagreements of the Supreme Court judges. The resolution said that the judges should settle their differences.
President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Abid Zuberi while addressing the Lawyers Convention said that if the elections are to be held in 90 days then they will be held in 90 days. Justice Pakistan put your house in order.
He said that the Supreme Court Bar is not and will not be subject to any political party, the lawyers are not related to any political party but to the black coat, if there is an attack on the judiciary, then they will stand with the judiciary.
