Moscow: The deputy foreign ministers of Syria, Turkey, Iran and Russia will meet in Moscow in April.
According to Turkish and Iranian officials, officials from the four countries will discuss constructive ties between Ankara and Damascus after years of tension over the Syrian war.
A senior Turkish official said the situation in Syria will be discussed in Moscow on April 3 and 4. He further said that this meeting is expected to be a continuation of ministerial level meetings.
It should be noted that with the encouragement of Russian President Vladimir Putin, an ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the officials of Syria and Turkey held meetings last year to normalize the strained relations due to the 12-year war in Syria. He ruled out any meeting with Erdogan, saying that northern Syria was occupied by Turkish forces and that he would not meet until Turkey was ready to withdraw its troops.
