Abu Dhabi: After three days of incessant rains in the UAE, the temperature dropped to the lowest level while some areas even recorded negative.

According to the National Center of Meteorology of the United Arab Emirates, the temperature dropped to the lowest level for the first time this winter. It was recorded at 1.9 degrees in many areas, while the temperature touched the freezing point in some places in the mountainous areas.

In videos that have gone viral on social media, a mountainside pond can be seen frozen. Tourists came in large numbers to see this pond in Sharjah.

In a post on Instagram, Nisar Ahmad Kunalur wrote that he had reached a frozen pond while traveling 8.5 km on a hilly road. I have family with me and we barely made tea.

It should be noted that last week, a desert in Abu Dhabi was covered with a white blanket, while it has been raining in the cities for three consecutive days. 118 mm of rain made the weather even colder.

The National Center of Meteorology has predicted that the weather will clear this morning. There is no chance of rain for the next five days, but the weather will remain partly cloudy, but the temperature is likely to rise on January 31.
