Lahore: Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain’s film ‘Javed Iqbal’ has been renamed as ‘Cucumber’ and after editing, the film will be submitted again to the Censor Board.
Filmmaker Abu Aliha’s film ‘Javed Iqbal’ is facing several hurdles and delays in its release, but Abu Aliha is determined to bring the film to the big screen.
According to the film director, ‘Javed Iqbal’ will be resubmitted to the Censor Board after editing.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Abu Aliha said that the film’s new name ‘Cucumber’ is based on the nickname of the lead character Javed Iqbal and he was called by this name because of the way he sits.
He said that last time we tried to release ‘Javed Iqbal’ independently and we didn’t have any distributor.
He said that now we have joined hands with the distributor ‘Everyday Pictures’ and through this we will send our film to the Censor Board.
The film ‘Kakdi’ is based on the true story of a serial killer, Javed Iqbal, who confessed to killing 100 children in Lahore in 1999.
