Karachi: Due to the increasing number of street crimes and shoplifting incidents in the city of Quaid, the helpless citizens started to deal with the robbers on their own.
During the robbery incident in a battery shop near National Highway Anwar Baloch Hotel, one robber was killed by the shopkeeper while other accomplices escaped from the spot, the footage of the incident also went viral on social media.
According to the details, 2 robbers on motorcycles stormed a shop in Battery near Anwar Baloch Hotel, National Highway, Malir City, in which 2 robbers wearing helmets entered the shop and took the people there hostage. Meanwhile, a robber collected cash from the cash counter and deposited it in a bag.
As soon as the robber left the shop after looting, the shopkeeper opened fire on the robber, as a result of which he was shot in the back and he staggered out of the shop, on which the shopkeeper fired another shot. Leaving his companion on the motorcycle parked outside, he escaped, but the injured dacoit fell down and died at a distance.
As soon as the incident was reported, a heavy police force reached the spot and shifted the body of the robber to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem. SHO Malir City Syed Adnan Bukhari said that 5 bandits on 2 motorcycles had come for the incident, the slain bandit was identified as 45-year-old Nawaz.
He said that during the robbery, the owner of the shop, Naseem, fired at the robbers with his licensed pistol and the looted money was recovered from the possession of the dead robber. The address is written by Dadu. According to the police officer, the dacoit who was shot dead by the shopkeeper was arrested by the Sukhan police earlier and went to jail. The police started searching and identifying the other four dacoits after getting the footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity.
