South Korea’s military has said that North Korea has fired two short-range ballistic missiles from the east coast.
According to a foreign news agency, South Korea’s military said the two missiles landed outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone, testing as the US aircraft carrier was about to dock at a South Korean port.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff have said that they strongly condemn North Korea’s repeated missile launches, and are ready to give a strong response to North Korea’s provocations.
He said that according to the plan, the military exercises with the US will continue.
On the other hand, Japan described the missile tests as a threat to the security of the region and the international community.
The US Indo-Pacific Command said the latest tests did not pose an immediate threat to US personnel or their allies.
