EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell reacted to Russia’s agreement with Belarus to host nuclear weapons, saying it would be irresponsible and provocative for Belarus to host Russian nuclear weapons.
In his response from Brussels, Joseph Borrell added that Belarus hosting Russian nuclear weapons poses a threat to European security. Belarus has the option not to host Russian nuclear weapons.
According to Joseph Borrell, the European Union is ready to impose more sanctions.
On the other hand, the news agency says that yesterday Russian President Putin told about the agreement to keep his nuclear weapons in Belarus.
