Boston: Much of the world is gripped by dementia and Alzheimer’s, for which efforts to treat and cure are ongoing. However, now the American expert has given some simple tips which can be followed to avoid this horrible disease.
Dr. Lai Huai Tsai, a scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and associated with the Paikover Institute of Learning, said that keeping the brain energized and disease-free is no longer a secret.
She says that people themselves are aware of this secret but do not act or find time for it. His message to the whole world is to adopt a habit of exercise, increase social contacts and do not isolate yourself and do some activity that uses the mind. These activities include learning a new language, solving math problems and brainstorming puzzles.
In another report published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), about 30,000 people were evaluated for ten years. All individuals were from China and among those who adopted a ‘healthy lifestyle’, memory loss and mental decline were noted more than others.
Interestingly, they had all the factors identified by MIT professor Lai Huai Tsai, including a healthy diet, regular exercise, social connections and mental exercises. However, factors such as alcohol and smoking were also taken into account.
It should be noted that female scientists have been working on a medical device to slow down Alzheimer’s for a long time. This device keeps the brain active with lights and sounds and plays an important role in preventing dementia.
However, Lai Huai Sai emphasizes that you can keep your mind energized and young by practicing these four things with discipline. If someone has signs of dementia, they can slow down the disease by improving their mental state by adopting it.
