Islamabad: Proposed to charge Rs.500 fee for radio subscription from all vehicle owners at the time of registration and payment of token fee.
The sub-committee of the Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting has proposed to charge all vehicle owners a fee of Rs. Instructions have been issued to all BC employees to ensure payment of salaries and pension before 20th of Ramadan.
The committee has appointed Additional Secretary Sohail Ali Khan as coordinator of PBC to prepare a plan to make Radio Pakistan a financially independent institution and Senator Irfan Siddiqui has directed PBC to prepare a comprehensive plan.
These suggestions and instructions were given by Senator Irfanul Haque Siddiqui, chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting sub-committee, while presiding over the meeting of the Senate Committee at the Parliament House.
Apart from this, the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination summoned the management committee on the alleged corruption in Gun and Country Club Islamabad in the next meeting along with the record.
