Karachi: On Tariq Road, the accused killed a 60-year-old man by firing on resistance, 2 people were injured by firing on resistance in different areas.
According to Express, the armed suspects tried to snatch 125 motorcycle from a 60-year-old man in broad daylight near Tariq Road, Allama Iqbal Road, Liberty Chowk within the limits of Firozabad police station, and when they failed, they shot him in the ribs and escaped.
The deceased was rushed to a private hospital where the doctors confirmed the death, after which he was shifted to Jinnah Hospital where the relatives of the deceased took the body away without legal action.
The deceased has been identified as Rehman Baba. The deceased used to work as a watchman at a jeweler’s shop on Tariq Road and was a resident of Kasbah Colony No.1 in Orangi Town.
The shopkeepers and local residents of Tariq Road say that the accused roam around throughout the day, complaining to the police several times, but nothing was heard.
Meanwhile, in Adamji Nagar Block 2 of Bahadurabad area, motorcycle-riding accused snatched cash from 50-year-old Mir Habib and injured him with bullet marks on his leg after which the accused escaped easily.
Similarly, 20-year-old Mohammad Naeem was injured by bullet markers near Ziauddin Hospital in North Nazimabad area. According to the police, the accused were taking away the mobile phone, cash and motorcycle from the injured, and when they failed, they shot him.
