Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court has reserved its decision on the request to extend the warrant suspension of Imran Khan in the woman judge intimidation case.
The hearing on the warrant suspension application in the woman judge intimidation case against Chairman PTI Imran Khan was held in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad, in which Prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi appeared in front of Additional Sessions Judge Faizan Haider Gilani.
The prosecutor requested the court to compel Imran Khan to appear on a future date, upon which the learned judge adjourned the hearing until the arrival of PTI’s lawyers for the arguments of the parties.
After the break, Imran Khan’s lawyer Ali Gohar also appeared in the court and argued that Imran Khan is coming to the court on March 30 in the Tosha Khana case, you should also give the date of March 30. The lawyer said that you should continue to suspend the warrant, I will go to the civil court and request the date of arrest warrant from 29 to 30 March.
Fazil Judge while talking to the lawyer said that you are talking strangely. You are pleading for March 30 while the arrest warrant is March 29.
During the hearing, the prosecutor said in the court that this meant that the court should not even dare to issue an arrest warrant. Arguments on merits should be made on the warrant suspension application. The accused is the blue-eyed boy of the court but not so much the favorite child.
Lawyer Ali Gohar pleaded for the extension of Imran Khan’s warrant suspension till March 30, upon which the learned judge remarked that the court can issue any decision on March 29. The lawyer said that the warrant related to the Tosha Khana case is suspended till March 30, upon which the judge inquired whether Imran Khan ever appeared in the female judge case.
The prosecutor told the court that Imran Khan has never appeared in this case, he has to give a copy of the case. Lawyer Gohar Ali does not have a lawyer in the case of a female judge.
Later, the court reserved its decision on the plea of Imran Khan’s legal team to suspend the warrant.
