Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to challenge the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to postpone the elections in Punjab in the Supreme Court.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the postponement of the election in Punjab will be challenged in the Supreme Court, while Tehreek-e-Insaf senators will also participate in the joint session of the Parliament.
He further said that the government had not filed a review against the Supreme Court’s decision, this is the first time such measures have been taken in a civilian government, and the Federal Law Minister Prime Minister Nazir Tararko does not know what happened after coming to the government.
Fawad Chaudhary said that we were thinking that the cabinet would announce against us tomorrow, then it was found that we were not on the agenda, the target was the Supreme Court, a joint session of Parliament was called yesterday to attack the Supreme Court.
He said that they are going to the Supreme Court against the move to break the constitution, 96 times the association rejected the decision of the Election Commission, Tehreek-e-Insaf will stand behind every movement.
