The Ministry of Endowment, Poverty and Social Security has fixed the curriculum of 2023 as Rs.1 lakh 3 thousand 159.
According to the letter written by the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Security to the bank heads in the Banking Policy and Regulation Department circular of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), on the 1st of Ramadan, the savings accounts, profit and loss and other partnership accounts of the banks, which If I collect one lakh 3 thousand 159 rupees or more, then two and a half percent of Zakat should be deducted from them.
According to the ministry, the martyrdom on March 23 or 24 on the 1st of Ramadan is subject to the moon.
However, State Bank has issued a declaration not to conduct public transactions on March 24.
The Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Welfare has requested to deposit the amount in the Central Zakat Account and report it.
