Lahore: The caretaker cabinet has voluntarily announced not to take salary and government housing.

The caretaker cabinet formally approved the appointment of Dr. Usman Anwar as Inspector General of Police Punjab.
The cabinet was briefed about the law and order situation in the province and actions against the criminal elements. The cabinet was also briefed on wheat reserves and requirements.
Apart from this, the caretaker chief minister became the voice of the children of police martyrs who sacrificed for the people. Mohsin Naqvi ordered to simplify the procedure of departmental recruitment of children of police martyrs.
On the direction of Mohsin Naqvi, it was also decided to give 10 additional marks during departmental recruitment to the children of police martyrs who came on open merit.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the rules for the departmental recruitment of the children of police martyrs will be further simplified and if seats are not available in the respective district, the children of martyrs can be recruited in another district, through duty and anti-social elements. It was also decided to increase the relief package of brave Ghazis who became disabled while fighting.
