Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is expected to arrive in the capital Kiev today on a visit to Ukraine.
According to Japanese media, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Ukraine.
Earlier, Japan announced a humanitarian aid of 5.5 billion dollars for Ukraine.
Japanese Defense Minister Kishi Nobuo said that additional aid would be provided in response to the Ukrainian government’s requests.
He said that the government has decided to provide binoculars, lighting items and medical equipment to Ukraine.
On the other hand, Japan’s Minister of Trade and Industry Hagi Uda Kawaichi said that Japan will work together with other members of the Group of 7 countries to reduce Russia’s energy dependence.
Hagi Uda said that we will try to diversify our sources of energy, including renewable and nuclear energy.
It should be noted that Ukraine has been under Russian attacks since last year, where many people have been killed and injured and property has been damaged during this war.
