Karachi: Etihad Town Police arrested a fake Rangers official while conducting an operation in Sector 9D Baldia Town.
According to SSP Kemari Fida Hussain Januri, the arrested accused was roaming in the area wearing Rangers uniform, SHO Etihad Town and Sub-Inspector Ghulam Rasool Arbab took action along with the police party of Etihad Town and arrested the accused. .
The SSP said that the accused is involved in extorting money by pretending to be a Rangers official and giving jobs to simple people.
Charge No. 47/23 under Section 170/171 of the Criminal Code has been registered against the accused and further investigation is being conducted.
