Patna: A porn movie was suddenly played on the big TV screens installed in the famous railway station of the Indian state of Bihar and the authorities remained oblivious for several minutes.
According to Indian media, passengers at Patna railway station in the presence of dozens of women and children were embarrassed when obscene clips were played instead of advertisements on the television screens installed there.
The railway administration remained oblivious to this incident which happened at half past nine in the morning. For three minutes the clip of the porn movie was playing. The administration took action on the protest of the passengers.
Railway passengers lodged a complaint with Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) but no action was taken.
When the matter reached the social media, the Ministry of Railways of India woke up and the agency responsible for running the advertisements on the screens, Dutta Communication, was reprimanded.
Police say that a case has been registered against the agency and it has been fined and blacklisted. All contracts awarded to the agency were also cancelled.
