Amsterdam Dam: A veterinary research center in the Netherlands has announced the development of two new vaccines that have been shown to be very effective against bird flu.
The Dutch government has officially announced it after the first experiment. One of the vaccines is made by France’s Kiva Animal Health and the other by the German company Boehringer, with support from the Netherlands.
Bird flu is also known as avian influenza and its incidence is increasing in many countries around the world. In this way, a total of 20 million birds have been killed, while the Netherlands alone has killed 6 million birds. In many countries, the prices of eggs are skyrocketing.
Both vaccines have been tested in the Netherlands, while France has tested it on ducks and Italy on turkey birds. However, the vaccine has been tested against H5N1, which is spreading rapidly in Europe.
It has been tested on chickens in another city in the Netherlands, while both vaccines have also been shown to be effective in the laboratory.
