Russia has banned 23 people, including British military officers

Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry has banned the entry of 23 British citizens into Russia, including members of the armed forces, media representatives, judiciary and others.

A foreign news agency According to the report The Russian government has taken this step against the above-mentioned individuals and organizations in response to the UK’s unilateral sanctions.

A written statement issued by the Russian Foreign Office said that Britain had unilaterally imposed sanctions on certain Russian citizens and firms and provided military technical assistance to Ukraine.

Therefore, 23 British citizens have been banned from entering Russia. The statement said that they include military experts who train Ukrainian soldiers, several officials of courts and prisons, including some media organizations.

It should be remembered that last year Russia banned the entry of 49 people including British journalists, defense industry regulators and military officials and later 39 British citizens including former British Prime Minister David Cameron.
