New Delhi: In the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, the plane hit the ground while hesitating, as a result of which the two pilots on board the plane were killed.
The plane of the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Rovan Academy, a pilot training institution in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, lost contact with the control tower shortly after takeoff.
According to the academy, the plane’s final destination was Baghlat, a hilly village in Madhya Pradesh. The area is considered to be a stronghold of separatist Naxalite militants.
A rescue team was sent to search for the plane. The wreckage of the plane was found on a mountain, while two badly burned bodies were found some distance from the crash site.
The police told the media that there was no evidence of the involvement of the terrorist element in the plane crash. Preliminary investigation revealed bad weather as the cause of the accident.
Police further said that one body is that of 20-year-old female pilot Vreekshanka and the other is that of 25-year-old instructor Mehit Thakur. Both the bodies were sent to their native areas after necessary procedures.
