Karachi: The Election Commission has released the schedule for the supplementary local body elections on 93 seats of various categories in Sindh.
According to details, by-elections will be held on 93 seats of different categories in 26 districts of Sindh including Karachi division. Among them, 28 chairman vice chairman, 61 general members and 4 member district council seats are also included in Sindh, including 11 in Karachi.
According to the Election Commission, nomination papers can be submitted for these seats from March 20 to 22, while the nomination forms will be scrutinized by March 28.
According to the Election Commission, candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination papers on April 6. Election marks will be allotted on April 7, while polling will be held on April 18, with results to be declared on April 20.
On the other hand, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the release of the election schedule for the postponed 11 local body elections by the Election Commission is a victory for the people of Karachi. and will succeed.
He said that we have already won the highest number of votes and wards, our victory will become more clear after the election of these 11 seats. People should pass the scales in these USS as well. Only if our mayor is elected in Karachi, the condition of the city will improve and the problems of the people will be solved.
