Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered the release of funds immediately to remove the concerns of the provinces on the census.
According to Express News, 12 billion rupees funds were released. The second tranche of funds has been released to all provinces for census arrangements.
In the census, funds were released to the provinces in three phases, in which funds are being released for logistical arrangements, namely, hiring of vehicles, training charges and remuneration charges.
In this regard, 92 crore 89 thousand rupees are being released to Sindh province in the form of hiring of vehicles, similarly, 43 crore rupees are being released to Balochistan, about 642 million 24 lakh 60 thousand rupees are being released to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. While Punjab will also be issued 1 billion 88 crore 24 lakh 75 thousand rupees by Monday.
For transparency and systematic monitoring of the census process, Chief Secretaries, Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners have been given access to monitoring dashboards.
Through monitoring dashboards up to block level, population, household, coverage efficiency with geo-tagging and enumerator performance can be seen which was never possible before.
