Well-known actor and comedian of Pakistan showbiz industry Shakeel Siddiqui has revealed that once in the past he had an opportunity to get Indian citizenship but he rejected it.
Both Shakeel Siddiqui recently participated in a digital podcast aired on the video sharing platform YouTube channel, where he discussed the work he has done in Pakistan and India.
Answering a question from the host during the show, he revealed that he was once offered Indian citizenship by an Indian friend.
However, he refused his friend and said that a person who cannot respect his mother will not respect your mother, so I cannot accept the offer of Indian citizenship.
He further said that I deeply respect India and Indians and want mutual cooperation between the two countries.
He clarified that there is nothing wrong with acquiring the citizenship of another country because many Pakistanis also take American citizenship, but if a Pakistani acquires Indian citizenship, he is criticized. Ap Adnan Sami Take the same example.
He further said that artists from both countries should come to each other’s countries, we are artists and an artist should play the role of a bridge instead of becoming a river of fire.
