An Indian army helicopter crashed in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, killing both pilots.
According to the statement issued by the Indian Army, the helicopter lost contact with air traffic control at 9 am.
5 search teams of the Indian Army were immediately dispatched, the wreckage of the helicopter was found from Bengalajap village near Mandala.
A judicial inquiry has been constituted to investigate the accident.
The helicopter had taken off from Saanj village at 9 am and was bound for Misamari in Assam.
The Indian Army says that the helicopter may have crashed in Mandalay.
According to Special Investigation Cell SP Rohit Rajbir Singh, the villagers saw the helicopter on the ground in Derang area at 12:30 p.m., which was on fire.
He said that there are no phone signals in the area and there is heavy fog due to which the visibility is only 5 meters.
A lieutenant colonel and a major rank pilot were flying the helicopter who were killed.
