Tehreek-e-Insaf members of the National Assembly have contacted me, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali has revealed that Tehreek-e-Insaf National Assembly members have contacted him and demanded to hold the National and Provincial Assembly elections on the same day.
Ghulam Ali said that he advised the said members to contact their leader Imran Khan and put this demand before him.
Talking to the media at Government College Peshawar, he said that it is not the same for political people to go to jail, we have also been going to prison, but the conditions being created today are not appropriate in any way.
The governor said that he has announced the date of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly elections, but it is not his job to hold elections, but the election commission, while the security agencies have described the situation as dangerous.
He said that the Supreme Court’s decision to hold elections is in its place, but political parties should make their own decisions, because two elections will be held every five years.
He further said that transfers are not taking place in the bureaucracy according to our will, records should be seen that where the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners who are being transferred today were in the previous period, the cabinet is considering the provincial issues in its meeting today.
