Advocate Faisal Chaudhry, brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Fawad Chaudhry, wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Through a letter, Faisal Chaudhry requested Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Atta Bandial to take notice of Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest.
The letter said that Fawad Chaudhry was illegally arrested from Lahore, he was held as if he was a terrorist, the intervention of the Supreme Court is required to deliver justice to the former federal minister.
Faisal Chaudhry further said in the letter that the Lahore High Court’s order on Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest was mocked.
In the letter, it was said that the Lahore High Court had repeatedly ordered Fawad Chaudhry to appear in the court, the whole world had seen how the orders of the High Court were mocked.
Faisal Chaudhry said in the letter that the powerful actors of the state did not listen to a single one, Fawad Chaudhry was handcuffed and a cloth was put over his mouth.
According to the text of the letter, Fawad Chaudhry was handed over to the Islamabad Police instead of being produced in the Lahore High Court.
Faisal Chaudhry told the Chief Justice in the letter that Fawad Chaudhry was once again handed over to the police on physical remand after judicial custody.
According to the text of the letter, fearing that Fawad Chaudhry will be subjected to physical violence like in the past, I am writing to you as a lawyer on the illegal arrest of another lawyer.
Faisal Chaudhry has also attached a letter written by Fawad Chaudhry to his letter and also wrote that this letter should also be considered along with our appeal.
Faisal Chaudhry has requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the matter through a letter.
