protests and arson;  Physical remand of 12 accused including PTI MLA approved

Karachi: The Anti-Terrorism Administrative Court has handed over 12 accused, including Tehreek-e-Insaf Member of Sindh Assembly Shahnawaz Jadoon, to the police on 2-day physical remand in the case of bridge protest, police encounter and arson at Neti Jetty against the expected arrest of Imran Khan.

Against the expected arrest of Imran Khan in front of the anti-terrorism court in Karachi, the case of bridge protest, police encounter, arson and encirclement was heard on Nati Jetty.

The police presented 12 activists including Shahnawaz Jadoon, another member of the Sindh Assembly, to the arrested Tehreek-e-Insaf. On the request of the investigating officer, the court approved the physical remand of the accused for 2 days.

The court ordered the investigation officer to submit the performance report of the case at the next hearing. According to the police, a case has been registered against the accused.

Speaking informally after the hearing, Shahnawaz Jadoon said informally that we are not afraid of jails and lawsuits, our struggle will continue until freedom, this freedom will continue until freedom from the imported government.

He said that we are the workers of Imran Khan and our struggle will continue till the real freedom, peaceful protest is the right of a political worker, what Sindh Police has done is not happening anywhere.

Shahnawaz Jaun said that the police arrested our workers even before the protest, after which we did not protest, the police did not torture us but took revenge by filing cases, we did not block the road or He threw stones but still made a case of terrorism, this is not a handcuff but our jewel.
