Indian actor Saurabh Shukla has said that at one point he had decided not to act in films, but judge Sundarlal Tripathi in Jolly LLB forced him to change his decision.
On the 10th anniversary of Jolly LLB, Saurabh Shukla talks about working in the film and then the role.
Speaking to Indian media, Saurabh said that I was going through a phase in my career where people used to say that I am a good actor but I am not getting big roles.
He said that for this reason he had decided that he would no longer act in films but would confine himself to script writing.
He said that during this time the film Barfi and Jolly LLB came and changed my film career.
Saurabh Shukla said that the film director Subhash Kapoor showed me the script of the film and offered me the role of a judge in the film.
He said that when the film director told him the script, I changed my mind and I told him, ‘No one will do this role, you will not go to anyone for it.’
He said that I had a good time during the shooting of the film and people liked the film and the role as well, for which I got the National Award. And that’s why I got interested in acting again.
It should be noted that after the popularity of the role of Sundar Lal Tripathi in the movie Jolly LLB, he was given the role of the same judge in the movie Jolly LLB 2, which was well appreciated by the fans.
