Islamabad: A special song was released on the completion of 50 years of Senate of Pakistan.
The special song ‘Yeh Senat Pakistan Ka’ prepared for the Golden Jubilee of the Senate is sung, written and composed by Shakeel Asghar Malik.
The video of the song highlights the importance and role of the upper house (Senate) for the federation and provinces, minorities and other sections of the society.
Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani performed a special song. This is the first time in the 50-year history of the country’s Parliament that the Senate, also known as the ‘Upper House’ or ‘House of Senate’, will be honored through music. Earlier, a musical tribute was also presented to the 1973 Constitution.
The establishment of the Senate in Pakistan came into effect immediately after the creation of the 1973 Constitution.
