Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court stopped the execution of Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant till March 6 in the judge intimidation case.
Additional Sessions Judge Faizan Haider Gilani issued the orders.
The court suspended the arrest warrant by ordering the execution of Imran Khan’s non-bailable warrant till March 16, while also ordering the lawyers to present the documents related to withdrawal of security in the court.
During the hearing, a hearing was held to challenge Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant, Imran Khan’s lawyers appeared in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Faizan Haider Gilani. Naeem Panjotha and Intizar Panjotha appeared on behalf of Imran Khan.
Lawyer Intizar Panjotha said that the provisions imposed on Imran Khan are all bailable, on which the judge inquired whether bailable arrest warrants had been issued before? Lawyer Intizar Panjotha said that no bailable warrant of arrest has been issued.
The court directed the lawyers of Imran Khan to fix the court documents and give them. The judge remarked that after reading for 15 minutes I do not understand the documents given by you.
Lawyer Intizar Panjotha said that the petitioner Imran Khan is the former prime minister and it is the responsibility of the government to provide security, but the government has withdrawn security from Imran Khan. The judge inquired that there is a letter in which it is written that Imran Khan’s security has been withdrawn? Lawyer Intizar Panjotha said that I present to you. The court directed lawyer Imran Khan to submit the relevant letter by tomorrow.

The judge remarked that the court was attacked in 2014, did the court shift after that? There was a PTI government but still the cabinet was not shifted, you did not shift the cabinet during your tenure.
The government lawyer said that Imran Khan was summoned in the Tosha Khana case. The judge remarked that Imran Khan’s election campaign has already started, on which lawyer Naeem Panjutha said that Imran Khan appeared at the judicial complex.
The judge remarked that the judicial complex appeared but the courtrooms did not appear. The court inquired that the name Tehreek-e-Insaaf is there, but what is it? There are many things, but please tell me about any legal reform of Tehreek-e-Insaaf? You can talk about the video link but you have no focus on legal reform.
The court remarked that Imran Khan has come before the court and may come again, Imran Khan had to provide the copy of the case, so the court called him. Copies of the case are provided to the accused in his personal capacity and not to anyone else.
Lawyer Intizar Panjotha said that give the date of March 21 because there is a request for video link in Islamabad High Court as well. The judge remarked that you also know what has to happen on the video link, then I give two months, lawyer Imran Khan said that he cannot appear tomorrow due to personal engagements, give the date of the day after tomorrow.
The court issued a notice to the parties and adjourned the hearing till 16.
