Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to give additional funds to the police to investigate the cases.
According to the notification of the Sindh Home Department, 50 thousand rupees have been allocated for the investigation in cases of sexual abuse of women and children, while the funds for the investigation of attempted murder have been increased from 12 thousand to 50 thousand rupees.
Funds of Rs 25,000 will be provided for the investigation of a robbery case, Rs 25,000 for the investigation of a carjacking incident and Rs 20,000 for the investigation of a theft incident.
Similarly, 25,000 rupees have been kept for investigation in the cases of hemp, hashish, opium. 1 lakh rupees for investigation of murder, 5 lakh rupees for investigation of terrorist incidents.
It has been said in the notification that the investigation department of the police was facing difficulties in following up important cases due to lack of money, therefore, to strengthen and improve the investigation process, the Sindh government has increased the funds for investigation.
