The Ministry of Higher Education in Afghanistan has issued an order to private universities not to allow female students to sit for the entrance test.
The entrance tests in private universities are to be held next month, the letter issued by the ministry has issued an order for the northern provinces of the country including Kabul.
The letter states that legal action will be taken against educational institutions that do not follow the rules.
The Ministry of Higher Education had ordered the universities in December not to allow female students to sit in the classroom.
A few days later, the Afghan administration suspended women working in NGOs, while most girls’ schools were closed by the authorities.
