Peshawar: An official was martyred in an attack by unknown persons on a police van on the security of the census team in Tank.
According to the police officials, the exchange of fire between the police and unknown persons continued for some time, 4 officers were seriously injured in the attack.
Difficulties were also faced in transferring the injured to the hospital due to heavy firing.
A heavy contingent of police has surrounded the area while DPO Waqar Ahmed has also reached the spot of the incident.
