The Islamabad High Court will pronounce its verdict on the appeals against the sentences of the plaintiffs and the convicts in the Noor Muqaddam murder case today.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan of the Islamabad High Court will pronounce judgment on the appeals of Noor Muqaddam murder case on Monday at 12.30 pm. The court had reserved the verdict on December 21.
Noor Moghadam, daughter of former ambassador Shaukat Moghadam from Islamabad, was killed on July 20, 2021.
On the completion of the trial, the local court of Islamabad on February 24, 2022, sentenced Zahir Jafar, the main accused in Noor Muqaddam’s murder case, to death, while his two employees, John Muhammad and Iftikhar, were sentenced to ten years in prison.
Zahir Jafar, the main culprit in the Noor Muqaddam murder case, filed an appeal against his sentence in the Islamabad High Court on March 15 last year.
