Lahore: Former Federal Minister Sheikh Waqas Akram joined PTI after parting ways with PML-N.
Sheikh Waqas Akram met PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Zaman Park, in which he announced his joining Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
On this occasion, Imran Khan also dressed Waqas Akram in a traditional muffler and welcomed him for joining the party. Sheikh Waqas Akram expressed his confidence in the leadership of Imran Khan and called him the hope of the people and also announced to start his political struggle from the platform of PTI.
Sheikh Waqas Akram also announced full support for PTI’s true independence movement and manifesto.
It should be noted that Sheikh Waqas Akram is one of the influential political personalities of Jhang region of Punjab and he has also been elected as Member of Assembly from this constituency.
