Karachi: 18 shops and factories were gutted due to a fire in the furniture market of Gharibabad, while furniture and other goods worth lakhs of rupees were gutted.

According to Express News, a sudden fire broke out in the furniture market of Gharibabad near Isa Nagri from Lyari Express, after which a fire brigade vehicle tried to control the fire. 5 vehicles were called, after 4 hours firefighters brought the fire under control.

The fire brigade officials say that the fire broke out in a factory in the market, which soon engulfed the shops and factories in the vicinity. I faced difficulties.

According to fire brigade officials, after 4 hours of hard work, 6 fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control, as a result of the fire, goods worth lakhs of rupees in the furniture market were burnt to ashes, 18 shops and factories of the furniture market were burnt to ashes. While a total of 45 shops and factories have been damaged.

Due to the fire in the furniture market, an emergency was imposed on the Napa and Sakhi Hasan hydrants of the Water Board, several tankers filled with water were dispatched to the spot to control the fire as soon as possible.

On the other hand, Governor Sindh Kamran Tesori’s administrator called Karachi and expressed his concern over the incident of fire in Gharibabad furniture market. Water tankers should be arranged.
