Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Faisal Sabzwari has said that all charges for containers stuck at KPT and Port Qasim have been waived.
Faisal Sabzwari said in a press conference that the issue of containers stuck at ports has been considered, thousands of containers of shipping lines are stuck, the business of shipping lines will continue, we have informed the business community.
He has said that the shipping lines have promised to give a reasonable discount in the demurrage charges on the containers, the containers will be moved at the off-dock terminals.
Maritime Minister said that containers will be moved at off-dock terminals, no shipping lines are going to be closed in Pakistan.
Executive Director State Bank said that the importers are guaranteed to release the containers on availability of money from outside.
