The federal government has imposed an additional surcharge of 3 rupees 39 paise per unit on electricity consumers.
Power Division has issued an official notification of additional surcharge on electricity consumers.
According to the notification, this surcharge will be charged from March to June 2023.
According to the notification, the total surcharge will increase by Rs 3 to 82 paise per unit as electricity consumers are already paying a surcharge of 43 paise per unit.
According to the notification of the Power Division, the additional surcharge will be applicable to the electricity consumers as well.
The government of Pakistan will collect around 76 billion rupees from electricity consumers till June 2023 in the form of additional surcharge.
