The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has given permission to collect Rs 55 billion from the consumers as deferred payments.
On the request of the federal government, Nepra issued a notification regarding the recovery of 55 billion.
According to the notification, domestic consumers of discos will be charged Rs 14 24 paise per unit.
According to the Nepra announcement, up to 13 rupees 87 paise per unit will be collected from Karachi consumers in this regard.
According to the notification, agricultural consumers will be charged Rs 9.90 per unit.
According to the Nepra announcement, the collections will be made in installments from March to October 2023.
The delayed bills of June and July 2022 will be collected from the electricity consumers across the country, while the delayed bills of May and June 2022 will be collected from the electric consumers.
