The time has come to take decisions beyond political expediency, ex-adviser on petroleum talks to the media after his appearance
Karachi: Dr. Asim Hussain requested acquittal from NAB reference related to 17 billion corruption.
Former Federal Advisor Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain and others appeared in the accountability court in the corruption reference of 17 billion rupees in JJVL, where they filed an application for acquittal from the reference.
On the plea of acquittal, the court adjourned the next hearing till February 4, in which the lawyers will present their arguments on the plea of acquittal.
In an informal conversation after appearing in the accountability court, former Federal Advisor Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain has said that the country is going through the toughest situation, now it is time to take decisions above political expediency.
He said that the matter will not be solved with a mini budget, we have to reduce our expenses. People have to understand the problem we are facing. The country is heading for a very tough situation. If we do not take proper measures, the situation will be serious. Now is the time to take decisions beyond political expediency.
