German researchers have named a new chemical after Hollywood star Keanu Reeves.
The researchers of Germany’s Leibniz Institute have named a new chemical ‘cyanomycin’ in recent days.
After the researchers identified three natural compounds in the new chemical that proved to be highly lethal to the fungus, they were so impressed that they named the chemical after actor Keanu Reeves.
The chemical is named after Keanu Reeves because the actor is seen killing villains in his films like ‘John Wick’ and ‘The Matrix’ in exactly the same way that this chemical kills fungus.
Keanu Reeves came to know about this while interacting with fans on social media platforms.
On the occasion of the promotion of his new film ‘John Wick 4’, he answered the questions asked by fans on the social media platform Read It.
During the same promotional event, the actor was shocked to learn about it.
Expressing his reaction, he said that the researchers should have named this chemical after my character ‘John Wick’, but it is also an honor for me, thank you very much to all these scientists.
It should be noted that the release of the fourth installment of the John Wick series ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ was continuously delayed due to the Corona epidemic, which will now be released worldwide on March 24, 2023.
