Section 144 was abolished in Lahore in one day

The Punjab Interior Department had imposed a ban on gatherings, processions and rallies in Lahore for 7 days

Islamabad/Lahore: The government immediately removed Section 144 and the ban imposed in Lahore for 7 days.

The Punjab Home Department has banned gatherings, processions and rallies in Lahore for 7 days. Protests, sit-ins and demonstrations were also banned in the city.

The ban was imposed in view of the poor traffic and security situation in Lahore.

Yesterday, the spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has claimed that one PTI worker was killed while several others were injured due to alleged torture and shelling by the Punjab Police. According to PTI spokesman, Bilal was beaten on the head by the police.
