Well-known playwright of Pakistan showbiz industry Khalilur Rehman Qamar revealed in his recent interview how Hamza Ali Abbasi convinced him to play the role of Afzal in the popular drama serial Pyare Afzal.
While giving an interview to a channel on the video sharing platform YouTube, the playwright said that the character of Afzal was not killed in the drama serial Pyare Afzal, its ending was something else, there were still a few more episodes left then Humayun Saeed and Nadeem Baig. Many tried to persuade me to kill Afzal, but I refused.
According to Khalilur Rahman Qamar, the shooting of 2 to 3 episodes of the drama was left, and one day, after returning from the shoot, the entire team went to a restaurant to eat. Kill me and I will live’.
Playwright Khalilur Rahman Qamar says that he liked this sentence of Hamza Ali Abbasi so much that he was forced to change the ending of the play.
